A Sense of Direction is the first documentary ever made about the Pacific Northwest Trail. Unlike the better known Pacific Crest Trail, the Pacific Northwest Trail sees very little traffic. It’s a comparatively young trail that still has a lot of growing pains.
It runs 1,200 miles from the Continental Divide to the Pacific Ocean, along the Canadian Border. The trail can be anything from perfect tread high up in the mountains to thorny bushwhacks in deep ravines. There are so many alternate routes it feels a bit like a choose your own adventure book.
No matter what route you take, the PNT is a massive adventure.
